Compost 4 Kids
Compost4Kids is an educational web application targeted for youth and local policy makers to
promote and integrate into their K-12 curriculum. We aim to partner with the Los Angeles Unified School District to help pipeline compost education to kids.
According to NRDC, “Composting is the natural process of recycling organic matter, such as leaves and food
scraps, into a valuable fertilizer that can enrich soil and plants.”
According to QWER Hacks, “Compost can not only substantially help combat climate change but it can also support the
growth of local food in personal and community gardens.”
According to EcoRich, “Compost can reduce the cost of food production and produce higher, more nutrition-rich
yields. This will result in a more resilient food system that will be able to end food
insecurity and sustain generations to come.”
